Emergencies
During the event of a serious or life-threatening emergency, CALL 911 or go directly to the emergency care facility.
Call for help by dialing 911 to report the emergency. Provide the level of first aid for which you are trained and equipped.
Have somebody meet the ambulance or Public Safety officer at a clearly visible location in order to quickly direct them to the patient.
Have someone accompany the patient to the emergency care facility.
Inform department personnel about the incident to assure proper documentation and examination of the occurrence are performed.
Arrange for a binder or folder with medical information and history of the patient that can be easily accessed and sent along in any emergency.
