Dr. Srilata Gundala – Chicagoland Top Doc

Dr. Srilata Gundala of Hope and Healing Cancer Services was recently named a Top Doc in Oncology in the Chicagoland area. The annual list of top Oncologists was recently published in Chicago Magazine’s Top Doc’s 2022 which is considered Chicagoland’s most trusted source to find top reviewed doctors.

Dr. Gundala has over 20 years of experience and specializes in benign and malignant hematology and general oncology with a particular interest in breast cancers, GI malignancies, Lymphoma and Multiple Myeloma. Her independent practice, Hope and Healing Cancer Services, is in Hinsdale, Illinois, where she has been serving patients since 2018. She is also affiliated with local area hospitals: Elmhurst Hospital, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital and AdventHealth Hinsdale Hospital and AdventHealth La Grange Hospital.

Dr. Gundala brings a patient-first experience during all her visits, encouraging her patients to be open with her to discuss treatment plans, concerns and more. “It is of utmost importance to me to listen and assess the medical and emotional state of my patients,” says Dr. Gundala. “This helps figure out the most effective and comprehensive treatment options for my patients, continuously monitor how my patients respond to treatments and improvise. Another aspect of this is being there for my patients throughout the process. While it is my passion to beat cancer, I draw inspiration mostly from my patients.”

Along with running her own practice and partnering with area hospitals, Dr. Gundala serves on the University of Chicago Medicine Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program Advisory Board, is a Board member of Independent Physicians and Providers of Illinois, is the Indian American Medical Association of Illinois’s (IAMA) Education Committee Chair and is actively involved with the Hinsdale and surrounding community partnering with the Wellness House.

Most recently, Dr. Gundala was invited to create content for the certification and recertification assessment program with the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). In this role she can help enhance the quality of health care by standard -setting, supporting certification of Oncologists and mentoring the next generation of Oncologists.

Dr. Gundala is currently accepting new patients. Book your appointment online or call 630-560-0121 for more information.
